Holiday

My employer gives eight set holidays and two floating ones each year. The floating holidays must be taken one in the first half of the year and one in the second half. We got a notice a couple of weeks ago reminding us if we haven’t taken our first one, we need to before July 1 or we would lose it. So I’m on a holiday today. Hooray, a three day weekend! I’m just puttering around the house. I cut some baseboards with Mark’s miter saw to finish off my laundry room and master bath where I just laid new tile. That tired me out, so I’m resting up before going to see “Spiderman 3” with Glenda later this afternoon.

Last Sunday, Mom and I went to see how the building is coming along for L.I.F.E. Construction is ahead of schedule, and they expect to open by the end of July. The grand opening is still set for September 17. I posted some pictures here. The Arizona Republic interviewed Carrie last week, and will publish an article in the Gilbert edition tomorrow. If it’s posted online, I’ll include the link.

How was Spiderman 3? I am glad to hear the tiling and base boards are going smoothly!

    Donna-

Did you just want certain photos to cycle though on your blog? My photos pull from all my albums and sub-albums.

  3. Donna says:

Yes, I made a blog album that the plugin pulls from. I wanted to select which photos show on the blog rather than all 2000+ photos I have in my gallery.

  4. Heather says:

Gotcha! I have run across a couple nudies of my boys that surprised me but then again they are in my gallery too. I wonder if I should do that too.

  5. Don says:

If you want to do it Heather I can show you what you need to do but it’s not for a rookie. Donna knows how to edit the files on her blog but I don’t think I’ve ever showed you.

I went through and hid the all the nudey booty ones. So we are good now I think.

The wisdom tooth I had pulled has left a painful hole. I had a dry socket, and had to go back to the oral surgeon every other day for a week to have it packed with a medicated plug. He removed it last week and thought I was done. But it continued to ache, even waking me up at night. So I went back on Tuesday to see if there was something more wrong. He says it is the dry socket still causing problems. He repacked it and it felt better within an hour or two.

He says some people have problems for up to a month, and even need to have novacaine to have the packing changed. Mine’s not that bad, but it has been more difficult than any previous extractions I’ve had. At least I don’t have any infection or abscess (knock on wood!)
