Grandma Briggs gave this recipe to Munson’s Date Farm and they began using it for their banana bread that they sell. Grandma never got a commission! It’s a family favorite because it’s so moist, and we have it at nearly every holiday meal.

1 C sugar
2 eggs
3 ripe bananas, mashed with a fork.
1 tsp soda
2 C flour
1/8 tsp salt
¼ C chopped nuts (optional)

Mix ingredients in order given and pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 375° for 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out dry.
