When Robin and Ken were here for the holidays, I mentioned that I needed to get a new microwave, but was holding off for a while because of Christmas expenses. About 30 minutes later, they informed me they wanted to buy me a new microwave. I tried arguing with them (honestly I did!), but they wouldn’t take no for an answer. So we went and picked one out. It had to be ordered because Best Buy didn’t have it in stock, and it came in this week. Brian helped me pick it up last night, and this morning he/we installed it (I helped, honestly I did!) See how pretty it is!
Thanks, Robin and Ken for buying it for me, and thanks, Brian for installing it! I sure have great kids, don’t I?
That’s pretty cool with the shelf; I’ve never seen that in a microwave before.
How many watts? Does it have some cool sensors?
It has some very cool features. They have certainly come a long way in 20 years (which is how old my old one was). It’s 1100 watts, 1.7 cu.ft. It doesn’t have any “cool” sensors but it has heat/steam sensors. 🙂 It even has a “reheat pizza” button, which I did for lunch today! There are tons of settings but very simple to use. I’m really happy with it.
By the way, my 20 year old one had a shelf, but I never used it. I wonder if I will use it in this one? It is removeable … it just sits on little pegs. The thing I didn’t have before was a turntable. Now I do!
Yes, ours has a shelf too, but we can’t fit a sippy cup in it with the shelf, so out it went, and it hasn’t been back!
