Each year Intel has an extra holiday that they stick somewhere in the year, usually turning a three-day weekend into a four-day one. This weekend happens to be it for 2005. I have Monday and Tuesday off. On top of that, my manager said no one is to work overtime this weekend, but to enjoy the time off. Last night was that sweet moment when I knew I had four days stretched out in front of me with nothing to do except exactly what I wanted. I think I’ll watch a little TV, sew a little, take in a couple of movies, see the kids, and just relax. I stayed up late last night and slept in this morning (until 9:30). It’s now almost noon and I’m still in my pajamas.
I’m making plans to go to San Diego in a couple of weeks with my friend, Glenda. Alice goes down to Irvine from Portland periodically to work in the office of CDF, and we are hoping that she might be there that week and could drive down to SD to join us for the weekend. We haven’t made plans for anything special, just hanging out and enjoying the cooler weather and ocean breezes. And of course, each others’ company. I hope there are no earthquakes while we are there!
I’m sorry Donna but that happens to be the weekend we have a 7.4 scheduled. 😉
