We didn’t have any rain—I think. Of course, I missed the last storm, too. After my outing today, I fell asleep right after Brian, Carrie and kids left, around three PM, and woke at 6:00 PM. I suppose it could have rained during that time.
My outing was worth it! It’s the first time I’ve been in a mall in ages. The kids bought me a Thomas Kincade night light. It’s beautiful. It’s nice going out and getting all that attention! And the kids were so good. Dinner was good, too.
They said Tempe got the worst of it. 2 miles from my house a rain gauge recorded 3.24 inches of rain in 50 minutes (Rural and Guadalupe). I think we had close to that much at my house too, though unfortunately I haven’t put my weather station back up since Apollo ate some of the wires.
I had 5 leaks in the house, 2 of them serious. I filled up three buckets in about an hour in one spot, fortunately out in the garage. I may have to replace drywall in part of my kitchen.
There were several inches in both my back and front yard.
It was the biggest storm I can remember since coming to Tempe. I guess we had some this heavy in Tucson, back in the old days, but I haven’t seen one for a while.
WE missed this fabulous rain storm since we were up north. We really didn’t get a lot of rain, just a few showers. I hope to see some more rain soon. I love the monsoons. I hope you don’t mind, but I added you to my blogin freinds section on my website. Let me know if you don’t want it on there. I don’t have a lot of traffic on my blog so I don’t think many people would navigate to yours from mine anyways. Hope you are doing well, I am so happy to hear that Lauren is doing so well too.

I really miss the monsoons.
I couldn’t believe the underpass flood on US 60. I don’t know how long the people were stuck there, but I imagine it was for a while.
