Neighborhood excitement

I came home tonight to cop cars and yellow police tape at the intersection in front of my house. It’s always disconcerting to drive down your street and see cops in front of your house.

Come to find out, this afternoon there was a fire in the house across the street from me, and after seven fire trucks responded and got the fire put out, they found a body in the back. Apparently, the woman who lived there did not die of smoke inhalation, so there is an investigation going on.

I didn’t know them at all, so I can’t even speculate. I’ll watch the news like everyone else. Here’s the initial report. See my house in the background?

Sounds like a real whodunit. Let us all know what you find out.

  2. Daryl says:

Is there any update on what happened?

  3. Donna says:

I read that an autopsy was being performed on the woman who died. Not much activity at the house yet. The windows are boarded up, but no one is around.

The kid was sleeping at 2 p.m.?

  5. Donna says:

I wondered that too, Joc! I guess we could give him the benefit of the doubt and say he must have been home from school sick or something.

I was starting to worry that you weren’t going to renew azdonna.com.

  7. Donna says:

I had auto-renew selected, but the card it was on expired. Then I forgot my login password to GoDaddy. And I couldn’t even request it because an email with the password would be mailed to my azdonna.com account which was down! I just had to figure it out through trial and error. Finally it came together!

    Whew! Back online.
